Top quality , awesome turnout , top bunch of people , many of whom (RR for one) had travelled a long way.
Only a few cars were standard! Nice to meet you all  :happy2:
Got some pics of me,TC and billyboy in convoy too, to come later
Nice of the plod to attend the mk5golfgti 'cruise'  :signLOL:

Guys, awesome meet. Loved getting to see so many GTIs. Keep getting so many ideas for the car just from the visual mods you guys have done. CW is a great colour to do mods on.

I decided to shoot off after the photo session coz of the fog etc. Thought you were all gonna just hang around in the pub. Had no idea about the cars. T88 OMM what exhaust you got? Was following you on way to photoshoot and loved the sound you made when you hit the throttle.

Robin, what did you chat about with the police? You were there for ages! Thought you'd started chatting about modding cars with them or something.

As for identities, I suggested we should have mk5golfgti t-shirts with our usernames in the corner or something so we know who everyone is? Could have a pic of our cars on the t-shirts too.

Will try and get there earlier next time so can go in a convoy. Best bit of the meet IMO. I wonder what people were thinking when we went passed them!

....I was passing on information for national networking so they can keep a special watchout for you, stealthwolf :evilgrin:.

We had a chat about all sorts of things - They were a couple of nice guys. I think they appreciate it when you are nice to them instead of viewing them as the enemy. I've got good friends who are in the Police Service and I support them. The guys in the unmarked cars are usually easy to get on with because they are generally more relaxed.

Excellent day and excellent turn out. TBH I didn't believe we would end up with over 20 cars in attendance :grouphug:

Red Robin was even there first :surprised: and his new shiny alloys look absolutely mint :happy2:

Sorry I had to scoot off, but had promised SWMBO I'd be back for 5.30pm (previous commitment) and just managed to walk through the door at 17.32 :signLOL: I would have ideally liked to have had a few rides and given one or two to compare the mods and feel of the car, maybe next time eh? :wink:

Just downloading the pics and mini vids onto the PC and so should get them "adjusted for viewing" by later tonight.

In the meantime tell me if this vid link works okay :smiley:

In a way, the foggy weather added atmosphere. At least no-one can describe us as chavvy because our foglights were on (though mine aren't fogs but LED DRL's)

wow what a meet!! its been great to meet some new faces! hope you didnt mind my two soot chuckers! haha! i think i was the only guy with diesel! i will be getting my pics up on monday hopefully, my copy of photoshop is at work so ill have a fiddle with the pics first then stick them up!

greenhouse, i owe you a 10er btw...bennylenny gave me a tenner to give you and i completely forgot!! :(
