oil light!

Need help quick gents!!

Went to start the car and the orang flashing low oil light came on, i check the oil and i was low (school boy error!) so i have filled it up to the required level on the dipstick,let it all settle down but when i come to start the car i still have the warning light on, what should I do folks????

Just so your aware, the oil light is not an oil level light as most people think, its an oil pressure alarm which means basically you have caused damage.. If its still on its because there is still low oil pressure.. Sorry if thats not what you want to hear..

So where do i stand with that then?what could be the possible damage and should i just get it off to the dealers?

Jonny is spot on, all you can do is not drive it and get it checked out, with your fingers firmly crossed.  :sad1:

Nice to see you too! it had to happen today,i was off all week and now i start a new job on monday,no garage time.if u cant drive it how do i get it checked out????!!!!
