Well.. I have two wheels on the car, and its looking like its going to be fine.. Seriously.. Im pretty shocked to be honest!!
As you know I went for an ET50 wheel which I expected to be a little much, so bought some 1mm and 3mm shims to space out the wheel if necessary!
Its dark here (and my car is about as dirty as it has ever been in its whole life) so excuse the pics.. :ashamed:
Front end..
I have about 2mm to the strut from the tyre at the moment, its super close, but there is clearance.. And to the arch its looking ok, about 3mm when the car is loaded up.. (tested with the jumping up and down on the car technique)
Here is a pic of how it looks currently.. (again please excuse the mess that the car is in at the mo)
New brakes making a cheeky little appearance too!!
So just a few bits to do to get the front end sorted out..
* Dial in another 1.2 degrees of front camber which will give me another 11mm of arch clearance
* Run a 3mm shim to give some more room from the tyre to strut
* Raise the front end up 5mm
All of this should make it perfect, and I dont think Ill have any problems with rubbing at all!
Rear end..
Im already running 2.5 degrees negative camber on the rear, so have a little more clearance anyways.. And there is more room from the wheel to the strut on the rear so fitting was fine. Im just simply going to raise the rear 5mm to match the front and all should be ok!
It clears the arch by about 1.5mm, its very close, but importantly it does clear..
This picture kind of highlights just how much more tyre I have on the car now!! :surprised: :surprised: :surprised: Who said it couldn't be done..
Tomorrow it should all be sorted and ill let you know how it feels!! :happy2:

Good News! I can't wait to see it with all four on, I have a feeling it is going to look rather sweet
Now go and clean it you scruffy git!

....
Those new TD's look so much more elegant than their previous ones. And, most importantly they'll be lighter weight.
:notworthy:

Couldn't agree more.. Certainly a nicer look! And they do them in 18x10 too.. Which is the next goal.. Along with a set of 285's
And so it continues.. :scared:
