Weather and detailing
phil197:
I'm getting ready to have the GTI detailed but am concerned the weather will spoil the enjoyment of my new gleaming paintwork...
Does it matter if the next days weather is poor and if the rest of the week looks bleak or should I try and find a decent week to at least have time to enjoy the car looking perfect?!

Doesn't matter as it will clean sooooo much easier after the weather clears up. As long as you follow the instructions on how to safely wash it from whoever is detailing it. Then it will look gleaming still :happy2:

This ^^^
I used to go out in the rain after having my car detailed. It would get muddy so found it best to give it a quick wash with fairy washing up liquid, brought the shine straight back. :jumping:
Scrubadub:
Doesn't washing up liquid remove any wax the detailed has added?
I read in the how to guide to wash car first with fairy liquid to remove previous waxes etc?
Top Cat:
Well, I occasionally have to do the dishes when the immigration officer comes round doing checks on my staff, and never once has my nail varnish showed any sign of coming off. A quick buff of the nails on a friends jeans and the sparkle is back. :pomppomp:
