Made my own turbo outlet...
ROH ECHT:
I decided today to make my own turbo outlet by modifying the oem 2.0t fsi outlet...I cut the oem alloy tube down below the pinch on it. Added to it a straight 60mm Dia. coupling tube w/length of 40mm. Then, from a 60mm U/180deg. alloy pipe you'll need to cut the portion needed, which wasn't much, go up from one end a few inches to the 1st cut. Then up from there 4 or so inches, but I'd recommend you mark it as needed to fit the turbo outlet coupling hose and cut it after you are certain of the location of cuts one and two. I actually found a small length of what I needed in a muffler shop scrap bin and the cost was free ;p
Neuspeed, or some one, should hire me...now that I finished up with my MET program, right? ;p
This is what you'd want if buying the section...
This is how mine turned out...
vRSAlex:
Looks good. Get shot of the nasty t bolt clamps for some decent JCS high grips though. T bolt clamps leak boost all day long as they don't spread even load.
ROH ECHT:
Made a minor change today...it didn't hurt...but boost kicked up another notch both in pressure and quickness to build ;p
THIS...
TO THIS...
E30Dom:
So how does it look standard and what would you need to achieve the latest incarnation?
ROH ECHT:
I found this 60mm hose and cut both ends just to simplify and eliminate a couple of extra connections
