I had the same trouble when I was using my nano as I didn't have any of the inserts.  The dealer told me they didn't supply them and that I should contact Apple.  I bought a bigger Ipod instead.  Ironically i bought a touch which fits a treat in whatever the insert thats in it is but I keep the armrest down.

hmm, I got an ipod adapter pack off my dealer a couple of months ago.   :confused:

Part number is 1KO 868 003 B 9B9
