JKM Dyno-Day - 2nd November 2013 + REVO SPECIAL OFFER

Hurdy:
I think I converted a few people to the benefits of 4WD that day Muckipup.  :driver:

Big power is all well and good in a fwd, but useable power at low speeds or from a standstill is always going to be an issue. The guys I know on the focus RS forum are actually slower to 60 mph once they pass the 400bhp barrier as they simply cannot control all that power and torque through the front wheels. The combination of 4WD and DSG is quite formidable and just about shocks everyone who experiences the accessibility of the power for the first time. :happy2:

....Exactly. It's all about balance between power and traction aka driveability. It's why I haven't gone beyond the Stage 2 on my FWD Mk5 GTI which usually delivers 260-270 bhp according to JKM's dyno.

But yes, I would love a modified Mk6 Golf R.

Hurdy:
Yes, it is the one to have Robin :happy2:

So add your name to the list below for those who now want a Golf R DSG.....

1. Muckipup
2. RedRobin
3. Saintsteve
4.

Yeah I'll take yours John, I'll PM the address - park it outside and stick the keys through the letterbox. If you let me know what time you'll be there I'll book you a taxi to the station, should only be about £6
