DVD ripping on Mac OSX

(1/3) > >>

Degudodger:
We have over 300 DVD's going to charity in the next couple of weeks but there are a few i would like a copy of.

As we could be talking 40+ i am looking for a quick, easy way to copy DVD's on Mac OSX, ideally Freeware - any suggestions?

Handbrake. It's virtually real time conversion I'm afraid.

Scottymon:
Handbrake is good, dependant on your CPU grunt (an OC'd i7 really helps) you should get through them fairly quickly... worth allowing the System free reign whilst chomping, to cut down on processing time. :happy2:

Handbrake doesn't circumnavigate the copy protection on commercial DVDs, though, does it? It works slowly because of Apple's crummy drives. I can copy a DVD in about 15 minutes on my PC!

In that case PM the OP you address.... Shouldn't take you long to do 40 DVDs!!!
