My DBP Edition30
joesgti:
Just found this nath,
car looks stunning as everyone else has said, just a shame about the OSIR grill :sad1: im not buying any OSIR stuff anymore as none of it ever fits perfect! as i mentioned i got mine (ebay copy) and it fits perfect, is 100% carbon and only cost 70 quids (i think there about 150 now) but seriously undersatisfied with OSIR.
What did the TTShop say? did they ever ring you back?
PS im not parking my car near yours tomorrow :P
Greeners:
:signLOL: Cheers Joe, don't worry about parking next to me as we may all look the same, wet!
We (SteveP and I) did contemplate the E-bay jobbies but being only around a third less than the OSIR one we didn't want to take the gamble. I think you fell lucky with yours. The good thing with having the OSIR one is I have the TT shop to fall back on and so far they are being very fair and are concerned at with the problems I have had.
I will report on my progress!
Greeners:
Well as it's been 5 months since I last updated so thought I better make the effort! :pomppomp:
Now the .:R has gone I thought I would treat the ED as she's been a bit neglected the last few months...............
Quick refresher pic from Edition38 and Tatton Park................
With the 2nd Ring trip of the year looming I took the oppurtunity to address the ride height issue I have had with the car and to hopefully improve the ride comfort.
Before:
A quick dose of these (AP coilovers):
Resulted in this:
Really impressed with these coilovers so far, the ride has been up and down a few times as I haven't yet found my perfect ride height. Big thanks to Steve and the 'Broom of Doom' while we were at the Ring!
Next up was the obligatory BSH catch can and while I was @ VWR I had a set of fast road pads to help me out on track until I can locate me an S3/Cupra set up! :happy2:
So that brings us up to today and a big thanks (again) the the Boss man for his assistance in fitting my new ITG CAI!
It really is a quality piece of kit and I can more than see where they get the price for these things from as they are superbly engineered. Great sound to!
I returned home then to seal and wax my freshly painted VZ's, a slight altercation with the kerb on the Chunnel back in June resulted in this, :sad1:
But they now look like this! (I make no apologies for my blatant pic whoring!)
A few more 'upgrades' to come over the next few months so watch this space! :innocent:
NEWEY:
your car really is stunning nath!!!! looks like A1 have done another cracking job! ill be giving them a ring in a few weeks myself :)

What made you choose AP?
And I'm not sure if I asked in t'Ring thread but what was the "Broom of Doom" all about?

Without rereading the entire thread, what did you have before and how much of a difference has the ITG CAI made?

Simply gorgeous mate, though I still think you should have kept the red-lipped Monzas - it's just too strongly associated with your car!
