Hi Martin,
You posted a comment about loose(?) suspension from VWR in another thread: What's the story? Doesn't sound good.

hi robin
after getting my car back from having the diff done i had a clunking noise from the front (posted a thread at the time http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,13610.0.html ). after alot of messing around changing droplinks i good friend of mine who is the workshop manager of haynes popped over and asked what had been done since he had the car (1 week before vwr had it) .
i told him i had the diff done so we then went threw logical steps of removing the box . i.e drive shafts out / hubs slacked / strut slacked .
turned out that the main shock bolt (threw the hub) was loose / not even nipped up , so the strut was moving around in the hub body causing it to clunk .
very upset to say the least as i found it 2 days before a track day !
i contacted vwr and they deniied it all .

That's not good at all. Not what I want to hear as I use VWR quite a lot. They are usually keen to put right any mistake they have made. :sad1:
