using a cheap aerial at the moment not sure if i want the hassle of fitting a new roof mount  :smiley:

When you say cheap aerial, do you mean on of the ones that mounts in the windscreen? Retro fitting a OE DAB receiver would be a pain, but fit a reverse view camera at the same time perhaps..?
