Nah not a fan boy by any stretch of the imagination, just impressed with what he is pumping out at the moment and would be keen to see him work with something larger than a K04.

I think he has trademrked the term TIV and not the process of mapping the ECU

Yeah i put myself in the same position as you.

I'm taking the plunge.

I was considering in getting an RS4 or E90 M3 but my experience with the M3 was a bit of a dissapointment in many ways. I liked the balance and the noise but the performance of the M3 is all at the top and felt flat at the bottom....but thats the beauty of a turbo lump I suppose.

On the RS4 front I love the look and package but many are way down on the quoted 414bhp and with 360-380 more likely spread across 4wd I suspect it will feel slightly flat and the understeer won't suit my expectations.

So I'm going APR Stage 2+ with this new code and will run a APR RSC together with VWR intake and S3 cooler.
I've got my sights on a set of VWR brakes and use this with sticky Dunlop inters for track next year. The car is currently running KW Clubsports and WALK and is already poly bushed.
I will cross the issue of a clutch when it packs up as I will at this point a diff.

Should be a formidable package.

Is that the new APR Stage 2+ file ?

I had stage 2 on my old Edition 30.....loved it.

On a custom GTI engineering (Morego map).....it's also very very good for stage 1.....put on the car by a F1 Mercedes engineer in Brackeley.

Have you got any dyno plots?

I spoke to them today and was advised it was available. I was asking with regard to compressor surge and it deals with this issue by requesting less boost pre 4k rpm and then piling it on once the VVT has caught up and the engine can digest the extra air. I'm currently Revo stage 2 but am looking for a fix for this so may end up moving for the offer of half price if coming from competitor.

Gone but not forgotten :-)

Going APR 3.4 very soon now.

Got to get the fuel pump RSC system and a VWR intake all at the same time.

Clutch and diff....very soon after

as well as VWR brakes

Car is running KW clubsports which are superb and Super Pro bushes

May consider ARB's and a new FMIC....all options open.

Seen dyno plots from Awesome.....look fab

get at the very least the Rear swaybar upgrade. It makes a great improvement.

Awesome where going on about this new map last time I was there, claiming 370bhp and a lot faster than others. I went out in Hassan's Edition 30 and to be fair it felt quick but I wasn't convinced it was a lot quicker than my Revo powered car.

Anyway a guy I know has got the new file on his S3, he took it to a RR and it made..

343bhp 363lb/ft

Literally the week before my Edition 30 running Revo stage 2+ was on the same rollers and made

343bhp 374lb/ft

We had a little play on a closed road and on a 4th gear roll my Golf was easily faster, admittedly his car is 4wd and manual, but still..

Just my 2p's worth :)

It had been at Awesome having the clutch and last bits fitted and also the stage 2+ map uploaded probably not even the week before and all was good.

The dyno where both cars went is renowned for reading 'lower' and not over reading like some, all other stage 2+ cars make between 340-350bhp.

Like I said, I thought it was worth a post with my findings.

My stage 2+ k03 was below APRs quoted figures on two different dynos but it drove well so it wasn't a problem for me.
