Current situation...  311bhp.. and ~310lbfts.

Now.... to go stage 2 would cost ~£650. Ive read that stage 2 is a bit "meh" so is it worth it or not?

spend the cash on something else bud,

stage one in these cars is more than ample , going stage two you also then need to think about clutches, lsd, brakes etc

Stage 2 is loads better than 1, but adding the fuel pump and running a milder stage 2+ is even better.
