cruise controll
faheem:
so seeing as i only got it like 2 days ago should i take it back to the dealer? or is it going to be outside the warranty? i am abit like a fish out of water with this stuff........it does not do anything at all, ive followed the instructions to the last detail but it just aint happening
nasir, the dealer is going to replace the tyre for me free of charge as we noticed it when picking the car up, shame i didnt notice the crack! lol its very hard to notice though......

er i dont wanna steal the thread here, but i thought it pointless to start a new one for a quick question, to those in the know... They are selling the genuine cruise kit on ebay for just short of 50squids. Is this easy to fit, or should this be left to the pro's?
this is the kit... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170361694017&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Looks the real deal to me. The fit will include some coding via VCDS (aka Vagcom). VRSTU is the best to ask, as there is some compatibility issues with the Controllers.
:happy2:

oh and faheem, im sure the dealer will put it right. If they sold you a car with cruise control, you want it to work. its not too expensive if they have to fit you a new unit. Is it a VW dealership?

Yep that's the fella you need.
As above, once installed it will need coding to suit the car. You need to have the correct steering controller but if yours is an ED30 it should be ok.
