Thanks and yeap...I need that 4WD as minimum is going to be Stage 2+.
I'm patient so will happily wait for the right car. There are a lot less Mk6 R's around than the newer Mk7 ones so I may be waiting a while!

Waiting for the right spec is the best thing to do, glad I did with my Golf R. The first modification you need to do is enable XDS through VCDS on it, guys over on the VWROC.com forum are doing this and it makes a big difference to the way it drives (and it's free!). I also went straight to stage 2+ with my R and I don't think I'd do it differently if I started again now.

Tornado Red mk6 R is an excellent choice. Pretty much an updated Mistress, without traction issues, that's ready for whatever power you throw at it.

You are absolutly spot on, I'll go straight to 2+ too with all supporting mods as well. I'll PM you once ive found an R re the XDS set up. Having come from a stage 2+ Eddy Itll be hard to wait for a similar performance for long.
