MK5 TDI to MK5 GTI to MK6 GTI!

Scirocco does look very smart but doesn't share the same character or sense of occasion as the GTI. Where did your short lived Mk5 GTI end up then?

I had the MK5 off a friend, which had been subject to a bit of damage. I say a bit of damage, it had hammer marks on both sides!

I was going to get the repairs done on it, it was a mechanically sound car with only 75k on the clock. When I test drove the MK6 I just had them quote me for a part ex on it and seemed a good offer, so took it!

To be honest, I really miss some aspects of the MK5. Sometimes I feel the interior on the MK6 is a bit too modern. Fussy I am!
