I followed Jays guide amongst other sources such as DW forum to put together a list and plan of action for a thorough clean. Here is what I purchased in December just to give you an idea.
Microfibre Madness Incredimitt
Meguiars Gold Shampoo
Carpro IronX
Tardis
Bilt Hamber Clay
AG Super Resin Polish
Collinite 476 Wax
Envy Detailing Brushes x5
Kirkland Microfibre Cloths x36
CQuartz PERL
Meguiars Tyre Endurance Gel
Autobrite FAB
Engine Degreaser
Autosol Metal Polish
AG Fast Glass
AG Wheel Cleaner
Chemical Guys Stripper Scent
Already had 2 buckets with grit guard and a decent jetwash. Didn't bother with a foam 'prewash' couldn't justify extra cost and adding a whole extra step. Maybe in the future! :happy2:

Thanks mate, that's exactly what I was after. If you don't mind me asking, how much do to think it set you back?

Mate I'd definitely recommend some type of pre wash whether its just AF citrus power in a spray bottle or a full on snow foam lance.
Idea is to get as much dirt off the car before you touch it with a mitt or anything, no matter how good your shampoo or anything is.
Oh and hell yep, it definitely becomes a VERY expensive hobby :-D

I would recommend a pre wash, doesn't need to be a full snow foam as the gear can be pricey. Citrus power is very good or crudzilla by dodo. The dodo one is more of remover than citrus so you will need to red wax after using that one. Citrus by AF is supposed to be wax safe.

Why not? It's only an extra £50 which is a drop in the ocean all things considered. You need to remove as much dirt as possible before you touch the surface of the paint. on it's own a Jetwash will do very little.

You can spend thousands if you're not careful. Believe me.
I would get it professionally detailed, buy a shampoo, two buckets, a wash pad/sponge/mitt of your choice, a couple of drying towels, some quick detailer and lots of microfibres. Everything else you can build up with time.
The biggest help was reading through the studio/showroom sections on DW to see how other people did things and in what order.
