Great news- glad that the forum will be continuing. I've not been here too long, but can see there's some great history (& people) behind it.
I can only see this forum becoming busier, so the changes to the classifieds are to be welcomed. Well done guys  :drinking:

Thanks to SteveP, TopCat, Greeners and 182 blue for starting and running the site, it is one of the best site I've been a member of even though the amount of money this place has helped me save is far out weighed by the mods it's convinced me to do :signLOL:

Good luck and thanks to Alex, Rich and Jay for wanting to take this on and continue running it with the same ethos :happy2:

Well done Lads.  :congrats:

I for one really appreciate all the hard work and effort made to keep the forum going.   :notworthy:

It's an awesome forum and I want to thank the mods and admin, both past and present for keeping me entertained (and poor) for the last few years.  :ashamed:

Hopefully we will all make the effort to organise meets, shows and obviously....Trackdays like the forum Nurburgring Trips.   :driver:

Steve, Tom, Nathan, Shaun, Alex, Rich and Jay. Thank you.  :drinking:

(As well as all the other past mods)

Excellent work guys. What will the latest version of the forum software offer? Has a migration to other superior software been considered? vBulletin for example?

I think it's cost and to be honest this forum works quite well.
I've seen a forum migration on another site I am very active on and it's not a fun or pretty process...lol.

I know, I've handled a few myself. Plenty of migration scripts out there though. :)

We will (eventually) upgrade to v2 SMF which should be perfectly fine. One snag with this is that we might have to totally re-design the theme if it doesnt transfer correctly in the upgrade process.

SMF is still being supported an updated so its far from a "dead" bit of software. Its something that we can look into down the line, but I cant see it happening any time soon.
