So I kind of did the same thing, but managed to make it fit without any cutting. HOWEVER, i bought used trunk plastic cover that is shorter than the what my car had from factory.



Attaching some photos for the context. Managed to find how a full set of r32 parts and how it looks (did not get my hands on it)
How the final result looks currently on my car.

Ill have to get proper cover now that has hard plastic backing throughout all of it, rather than only the part that covers spare wheel earea
