Gman30:
Hi Guys,

I'm a Bit of a detailing nut and I am after a high quality wax. I will be regularly topping it up so longevity is not a massive issue but obviously looking for a few months of protection between coats.

I've been using Zymol but am wanting something more new school with a nice wet look and super beading and flake pop! - Not asking much here!

What can people recommend - Auto Finesse, Kleen freaks, Swissvax seem to be the top players at the mo?

Anyone physically compared these against one another or got any other suggestions?

Ask yourself what you want from a wax.

If you want a good wax that is easy to use and will outlast most things, look at collinite 476s or FK1000p bilt hamber finis wax, etc. All available under £20 for large containers.

If you want to spend much, much more than that, then be aware that a more expensive wax does not automatically mean it's a better wax.. Autofinesse are just products rebottled and sold on at a 70% markup on their actual price, I've used Temptation, Passion and Soul, were all horrible. Incredibly hard to use - Spirit was quite nice and smells lovely but again you're getting up to £80 there and it's just a lot for what is basically a brand.

Crystal Rock is great a friend of mine really rates it. I've never used it personally but it smells amazing and seems easy to apply and remove and gives good protection. But is it's protection better than Collinite for example or worth the extra to a non-professional, home user?
Probably not.

Up to you at end of day. If you got £1800 you can buy a never ending tub of Zaino wax.
