i know this is wildly off topic, but... why did you encrypt detailing photos? you been waxing the Batmobile?  :grin:

it was a whole disk encryption jobbie! its all Dom T's fault! haha!

there was basically every photo ive ever taken on there, holiday pics etc. family stuff. didnt want any access to it on our network, or if it was unplugged. trouble came about when i went from XP to windows 7. Master boot record decided to sh*t itself!

Seriously though, I'm gutted to read this Jay. You'll be able to download whatever pics/images you have previously uploaded to servers such as photobucket and those you've posted on forums but that's not everything unfortunately.

Time to invest in a big external hard drive - Mine auto backs-up every hour.

that's exactly what it was. An external hdd that backs everything up. Thing was I upgraded windows xp to windows 7 which required a fresh install. Ah well... Life goes on! Just a shame the pics of the last 7 years!
