Noob question sorry after washing the car do I apply wax again

<< < (2/3) > >>

luketurner:
depending on which wax you're using, some will last up to 6 months, i tend to top mine up every other month, i sometimes go a bit mad with it in the summer when its hot though! haha

just make sure you're using ph neutral stuff, some car shampoos etc will take the wax off :)

Veee-dubber:
Your not alone there pal, I go nuts in the summer, more wax then paint haha

GTIKKM:
If you use a good wax that lasts a few months then use a spray wax to make regular washing/waxing easy and quick.
I have used Autoglym aquawax for years and its the best wax for topping up on your routine washes. You can apply it when the car has just been rinsed so removes one boring step of washing. If you use bilt hamber snowfoam first then you will find that it does a very good job of cleaning the car for a super quick clean up.

stealthwolf:
As above, most waxes last more than a few weeks. I love P21S/R222 but it barely manages three weeks' durability. Some of the hybrid stuff can last 2-3 months easily. I tend to sheet water after rinsing to help with the drying process and this helps me decide whether to top up the LSP or not. Otherwise pretty much every wash is followed by a QD. I never use QD on a dry car unless it's to remove bird lime in an emergency.

Thanks for all the comments guys helped a lot

Upto now the equipment I've got is

Uk valet cherry Snow foam
Ph natural dodo juice sour pour
Poorboys black hole
Ag liquid wax
Presto quick detailer

So after a rinse ,snow foam and a 2b method wash with sour power I simply dry and then apply some quick detailer/spray wax

And top up the wax when I think it's ready

When do you guys polish the car ?

My products seem all over the place but it's just what I've collected over time ,when I didn't know what I was doing lol I'm getting there slowly :)
