First time using DA advise pls

Iv brought myself a dodo juice DA, so bank holiday going to give it a good detail, snow foam, wash, Clay cutting to remove swirls and polish and finished off with a wax.

Iv got a green, orange and black pad with it, am I right in saying i can use the orange pad for cutting and removing swirl marks and then the black pad to polish the car? Will I need to wash the car again in between these stages? As I'll have all the plastic and rubber seals taped up and don't fancy taping up twice unless I have to. Any other tips and advise would be great
