Yes for a GTI, or part number ending H not F for an ED30

The problem is that the gauge may be inaccurate, that is very cold for an engine temp. If the gauge is correct you may have a thermostat stuck in the open position. If this is indeed the case you had better change it as your engine mixture depends on proper engine temp.

The gauge IS inaccurate. Best doing the trick with the climate to see what the sensors are reading. 75 degrees on the gauge will be around 60ish degrees in the climate display
