Intakes..

Get an intake I made 252 bhp standard with evoms
And I'm now on stage 1 + a car needs air especially with forced induction, I had it fitted on stage 1 initially and never noticed any low end torque missing but I tend to drive in the upper rpm :driver:
I fitted a hpfp before I was on stage 1+ and still on stage 1 it made no difference as I was meeting required it will make a difrence if you have revo ect and can tweak settings

I would say an intake is more important for stage 1 than a HPFP...... especially for the money / mechanical issues.
Fitting the EVOMs I have noticed no drop in low end torque. And besides that it's a turbocharged petrol they are not designed to be driven like diesels.

From all of this...find a tuner you trust and ask their opinion and see where you go with it.
Not sure where you are in the country but I'm in Portsmouth so I gave my car to JKM to sort out. My suggestions are just some of the things that were carefully explained to me while I was trying to find a way from stage 1 to 2/2+ economically. I learnt that there are many co-dependencies when considering introducing certain pieces of hardware and it transpired that there wasn't a cheap way to do it so proposals were made based on their expertise & experience to do the best thing by the car.
Just to reiterate, a fuel pump is not essential for stage 1 and most tuners wouldn't tell you need it. I was trying to point out that sometimes they can struggle but probably most are fine.
Not clear on what mechanical issues an intake addresses so can't comment on that.
Wooosh:
As said ITG Maxogen, Evoms, Revo or Forge Twintake. :happy2:
