If you find D changes up too early and S is a bit to extreme just use the paddles matey, you can change gear when you want then :happy2:
As for the sluggish start, I know what you mean but I would not say its massively noticeable. I think that is just turbo lag TBH :wink: :happy2:

Yeah I'll be playing about with the paddles, problem is I dont think its the turbo lag that I'm experiencing!!!
Off the line in D if i take it stead, it'll be in 2nd by 2500-3000rpm, if i then decide i want to hammer it, it'll literally sit and wait for 2-3seconds...Also, when setting off, it doesnt seem to want to get going, could well be me going to lightly with the right foot but just doesnt seem right...

That is just because your not use to the DSG yet. It sounds like you are just mashing the pedal so the gearbox cant deal with the torque you are trying to apply, its kind of like a safety feature to protect the clutch.
If i was you i would leave it in D- mode until the car is fully warmed up then just slide it left into M-mode then try giving it some beans you will find a completely different car underneath you. :happy2:
