Broomy:
Isn't it 50/50 now with rusty wings?

Jeffchiz:
no, warranty managers have been sent a bulletin saying cars up to 10 years old are eligible for the wings to be sorted, and as the guy at vw said paint work is a grey area every case can be different nothing is clear cut so you cant anticipate what will happen in your case going by someone else's experience, you just have to book a slot and get your car looked at

Jeffchiz:
Got the phone call i was waiting for today! The bodyshop have told me I can book my car in so got it in asap which is this monday 4th august, and even better im getting a courtesy car, there was me thinking id get a mk7 gti/gtd but it turns out its a citoren c1 :( however she said i can contact the dealership and see if they have a more exciting car to have for the week

Jeffchiz:
Dropped my golf off at the bodyshop today and picked up this little beaut!

Its a bag of nails, steering is so vague you get nothing and then it suddenly turns, when it does turn you roll out your seat and get sea sick, it doesn't accelerate, it gradually increases in speed, sounds like a tractor, and the boot is better described as a luggage compartment

my 9yr old golf with 84k feels better than this car a few months old with 9k

JB114:
Do you know if that 10 year warranty includes wings that have already been replaced? Both mine were changed by previous owner by VW through warranty but the passenger side has started to bubble slightly again. Also was it a quote from VW you were getting for colour coded side skirts and splitter? I too am looking to get that done but can't decide whether to get the edition 30 splitter or not
