Why are R8 coilpacks better?

I've been working on a thread for a while tbh.  Just not had time to get it done.

It has come to my attention that the Nology plugs are indeed no good for any coil pack based car.  Nology deny that there is an issue.

They don't ultimately cause electrical faults, but the nature of the non resisted plug does.  Although a plug that had dropped in resistance can also cause gremlins.  The plugs highlight an issue, and either swapping the component to the latest revision, or fitting new resisted plugs in, resolves the issue.

I have however had a coil pack overheat and catch fire from having no resisted plugs fitted.

Every car that comes back in that has had the Nology plugs fitted will get a new set of NGK BKR7EIX plugs fitted for just the cost of the plugs.

If anyone wants the NGK swap over from the Nology plugs then please give me a call on 01234 822324 to book in.

Hmm, what my Okada coilpacks highlighted then, by 2 of them catching fire. That's the way of tuning though

Over the top mod list ;o)

if you are worried about cold plugs then warm them up before fitting them, personally I fit plugs when the engine is cold or luke warm
