....I'm capable of the night drive but at my age I prefer my comforts. And don't forget, I'll be on my own (AFAIK).

fair enough, so...the prefered idea is:
monday night stay somewhere in france? or england?
then on tuesday make our way to Chur, then Wednesday make our way to Worthersee via stevlio etc

....Let's see what the others have to say but I reckon that most will prefer that ^.
Whether peeps stay the night near Folkstone/Dover or near Calais, it shouldn't be difficult to hook up at the beginning of the drive to Chur. RV at a big services on E-road outta Calais/Dunkirk.
The next question will be the route to Chur. Through France via Reims and Dijon is less busy and very similar mileage but the French speed cops aren't so sympathetic. The autobahns are faster.

i am easy mate on times but would have to stop for my young lad as he does get bored in the car for over 10hours lol but he has a tv he can watch in the car so lets just get some ideas of places to stay first and then we can take it from there i think
