Running out of clearcoat (with hard paints) is rarely any issue even when previously polished terribly badly like in this case. However, assuming that the same the whole car may be hologrammed more or less as badly, it will take way longer than 1 hour to correct the finish. Sometimes these holograms are really deep and stubborn in the clearcoat that it takes a rather aggressive cutting compound and a matching pad to get rid of them. A combo which then has to be refined with a finer set a polish and a pad. Final round (using a rotary) with S30+ and a blue or black hex-logic pad should give you a hologram free perfect finish.

I had a couple of similar hologram marks on my paint and they were actually more difficult to correct than the normal wash swirls.

This ^^^

Unless someone attacks the car with a rotary at full speed with a wool pad and compound polish then you would do well to remove that much clearcoat that quickly.

That looks like it's just marring that's been left by someone with poor techniques with either a rotary or DA.

Don't get me wrong I could burn through someone's paint in 30secs flat if I wanted to with a machine polisher. But having detailed quite a few cars (I'm certainly no professional though) including VAG cars you generally don't take a lot of clearcoat away unless you're being an idiot.

As Xjay says a light refinement pass with a machine would get rid of most of that. VAG clearcoat is very tough.
