Milltek Help !!

(1/2) > >>

gazrn:
Hi I am looking at Milltek catbacks online and there seems to be two different types on non resonated, an ec approved and a non ec approved (smaller volume rear silencer) can anyone tell me if there is a big difference in sound between the two and in everyones opinion which sounds the best ?

Cheers guys

Gene Hunt:
Milltek non res is only a bit louder than the stock system, had one on my last GTI. Just ordered a BCS Sport cat back for my ED30. Loads of happy owners on here that have them. :happy2:

I don't know what level your car is power wise but, we (the shop i use here in Denmark) have a customer with an Octavia VRS with a fully built engine and GTX3071R turbo which ran a full Milltek system 2,1 Bar of boost and made 445bhp. When it was changed to a non powervalve system from BCS he makes the same 445bhp but at 1,5 Bar instead  :surprised:
Thats' a whooping 0,6 Bar lower pressure on the system with same bhp  :surprised:
So for lower backpressure and less strain on the whole system, i can only recommend BCS or similar systems regarding back pressure.  :happy2:

Had a milltek catback non resonated fitted to my GTI about a month ago. As said not a lot louder than stock, until you plant it or lift off at high revs.. Glad I went with non res for sure.

Yeah I'm set on a non res but there seems to be two types, ec approved and non ec approved ? Is there much difference in sound between them ?
