« on: December 11, 2008, 05:14:09 pm »
Hi All,

as per title realy.  Im just specking up some very special rims and want to make the best possible choice.  What i need is the width and offset with a brief description on how they fitted and if any problems were found (rubbing etc)

Thanks in advance, this will make someone VERY happy (happy enough for man love   :rolleye:

Thanks
Ben

just had a long winded chat with TC regarding this, we came to conclusion that 19's 8" width and offset of ET50ish would be a fairly safe bet.
I ran this in CH's on the ED30 lowered with a little rubing on the front arch liner that is easily fixed.

He ws offered an 8.5 with ET45 and we decided this would probably be pushing a bit clearence wise and could also run into some clearence issues with his coilovers too

Got to agree with Gaz the size and offset of the CH's is the best choice, once the arch liner screw is removed (sitting on H&R's) I have had no problems and ride height it spot on.

Afterall you would expect BBS to know what they were doing as this size is what they recommend for the mk5 ;)

My 19''s are now on Flora's (markymark) car but I did have problems with rubbing on the rear wheel arch (not the liner) as mine has Eibach Sportlines. From memory the ET was 41?  :happy2:

P.S. No man love required thanks Ben  :P :santa:
