Thanks for all the comments above guys.

Picked up the car yesterday, and all I can say is... I'm loving it, I had forgotten how good a car the Mk5 Gti was/is. Racked up about 100 miles in it the last days and I'm so happy with it, it just does everything so so well and the extra grunt of the 230bhp engine really makes a quick car.

Only pictures I have for the moment, but I'll get more up over the next weekend.

It does look really tidy, you've done well there finding such a clean example.

Looking forward to seeing how the mods go :)

Thanks Dave, it will likely be the new year before any changes take place. I think my bank account needs to recover a little before I attack it again.

First mod :) in my defence, it was bugging me with the VW badge missing from the key fob.

I had the day of work, so managed to get the car cleaned and a coat of wax applied. it could do with a propper detail, but I dont think there is much point at this time of year with the winter fastly coming in.

Some better pictures as promised:

So 3 weeks in and still loving the car, its just the perfect car imo, does everything so well and just ticks every box for me.

Hopefully some springs in the next few months once my bank account heals a little.

Looking good! Where did you see this one advertised, might I ask?

I'm just down the road at Tates Avenue, would have considered a trade in myself for this!

If you're ever looking to move on from the Pirelli wheels, give me a buzz  :innocent: but it looks like you're happy with them now  :happy2:

Ive got a manual mate, i previously had a DSG box with my ibiza cupra and even though i loved it, i fancied going back to manual for a change again... And i love it!!

Yes I tried and DSG and didn't like it but every one else loves DSG on here.

How's your clutch going?

Only had the car 5 days but the clutch feels fine, as soon as theres any problem with it, il sure be investing on something willing to take a beating off stage 2+  :rolleye:
