StuF presents Candy White 3 Door GTI
StuF:
Had another small package arrive yesterday
Nice new Votex Gear-knob - cheers Gareth for getting it to me so quickly!
Popped it straight into the car and it looks great - the old shifter was good just a little worn from so much use!
Decided to give the engine a bit of a clean too however I forgot to take an after shot! Here is the before!
There were twigs, leaves, dust and all sorts lurking around the inlet! Lovely :signLOL:
Bignod00:
Hey buddy, your car was looking lovely earlier.....super shiney in the sun! I was feeling like crap so was sneaking off early, I'd have stopped to say hello otherwise! :happy2:

Cheers mate - car is stinking though and needs a good bath!
Unlike yours that was looking very menacing and shiny as a new pin!
Looking forward to having a good look up close - proper machine with a lovely exhaust note
Apologies for not replying sooner, been spending all day on a first aid at work course and then all evening sorting out my camper van engine/gearbox
Although my camper engine is looking a bit more healthy now!
Went from this
To this
Fingers crossed it will be back installed this afternoon and the golf can get some attention! :happy2:

No worries at all buddy, yours sounded lovely too when you shot off the other way to me at the lights! :innocent:
Great work on the camper engine mate, that lot would have me stumped! :happy2:
StuF:
After hearing a screaming noise coming from under the bonnet this morning on the way to work, when backing off boost - I sort of self diagnosed a failed PCV valve being the issue!
Was still on the one it came out of the factory with!
So I went online and found a replacement from GSF for £25 - result in my book!
Finished work early, collected the new valve and have just installed it - one of the easiest jobs I have done!
Some pics for those who may attempt the job in the future
New valve straight out of the package!
Old one that was screaming to be replaced!
4 screws later and it was off
New one installed and good to go
No more screaming! :happy2:
