Best way to change front Camber?

(1/2) > >>

Redtom91:
I am looking to increase the negative front camber on my GTI. Doing some research has turned up 2 options:

-Adjustable Ball Joints
-Adjustable top mounts

So here's my question; Which method is better? Or does it come down to how much negative camber I want to add?

fab5freddy:
You've answered your own question, it comes down to how much

Ball joints (super pro) will give you approx -1.75/-2 degrees

Top mounts up to about -3 degrees iirc

You could also change to TT control arms and ball joints and get approx -2.5 degrees

Definitely worth doing any of the above, top mounts probably more track focused or if you need clearance for wheels IMO

For fast road Superpro ball joints would be the most cost effective

Redtom91:
Yeah, thought I might have done, my bad.

Think I'll start with the SuperPro ball joints for now and see how I get on.

Many thanks for your help fab5freddy!!

fab5freddy:
Good choice, will feel a big difference for little money

There's a group buy running on Superpro gear if you weren't already aware
