Unfortunately it can't be B because my car died overnight a while ago and I had no idea what caused it until now.

Cheers mate, I'll have to grab one and see if it does the trick, I'm really hoping this doesn't turn into a saga trying to find so me dodgy electrical issue.

Just bumping this to see if a brake light switch solved the OP's problem.

Having the same issue at the minute and really don't want a flat battery as it will drop my Revo map. Only seems to be happening on really cold evenings.
