Cam adjustment sensor (N205 valve)

Ok here goes any1 could help me out I had my cambelt water pump and cam chain and tensioner done the other week after all was done car sounded much better but now engine management comes on and the sensor it self has like a rattle noise to it....its a brand new sensor had it plugged in and it comes up with open circuit any help would be good
