Oh Jake, with the Fabia... he's a good lad.
Didn't realise you were around Newbury...

Just get the CDL engine, good for 450/500bhp.

Thought I ruined my perfectly good MK6 for DSG conversion which looked like I hit a dead end. Got there in the end and its so rewarding!

Things look doubtful and bad before they get better afterwards! Stick at it mate and see it through :happy2:

Yeah but that's the reason for new forged internals, they bring the compression down lower than a cdl lump and I know it's strong then. Cost wise it will work out the same but I'd have a better lump that should take abuse means I don't have to out lay a load of money in one go. Only big expense after that will be the turbo. I'll see, Engine is out tomorrow with fuel tank. Moving it next weekend to tylah Motorsport for some tubing :)

RICKITSRPERFORMANCE:
what size tyres are you running on your votex wheels mate?

Few more pictures for a update,

Dropped the car off tonight for its full weld in cage at Tylah motorsport. Very excited to see it all done. Heres some pictures from the last week and a bit of the strip down. Managed the engine and box out in 5hours on my own which i was happy with. (Im a carpenter by trade so not my profession) Fuel tank was something I've never even thought about removing but wasn't to bad, could of done with a ramp to get the car higher but still only took about a hour and no real drama. My time will turn now to stripping the block down for full rebuild  :jumping:

perfect combo
