Another quick question on this topic. The central and right mirrors both dim but the left hand mirror doesn't. Is that normal?

Both my wing mirrors auto dim. However I have an 05 gti and i think in later years VW were penny pinching and only provided the driver side one.

Speaking of which, just had my drivers side mirror replaced because it failed. Just the part cost £180

Lets hope it doesn't happen to anyone else!!
