I'm very fickle and maybe going down the REVO DSG route too. Rude not to if you have REVO ECU software

You know you want to! Would be a shame to have anything else wouldn't it?

Been running an early version of the DSG code for just over 2 months and it awesome, having the manual mode withoutout kickdown or forced change up is the way DSG should have always been   :happy2:

Will be off to Revo next week to get updated to the production version

....No, Revo's ECU performance remaps are quite separate and independent from the DSG remap options.

I'm assuming this will affect warrenty issues ??

Is there anything to disable this should anything go wrong... and have to take it in to VW for warrenty repair ?

Nothing apart from reflashing back the oem software...

Wasnt aware that the earlier ones were different but worth the ask..

....The earlier versions are definitely different from the newly released production ones.

Just come off the phone to find out what stage 1 and 2 were

The benefits are bigger if you are on REVO ECU software as the DSG software has been specifically tailored to suit :happy2:

Stage 2 is tailored to suit the higher tuned cars and also gives a 4k rpm launch control function for those who have 4WD/ TOYO R888's etc.

The REVO ECU software ups the limiter to 7,400rpm and so the DSG software in manual mode allows you to use all this powerband to the engine limiter. GIAC by comparison have a 7,250 ECU limit and the DSG changes up at around 7k in sport and 7,100rpm in manual.

There are a couple of things that disappointed me about the GIAC DSG software and they are:-

Kickdown is still enabled in manual mode, but seems to have a delay on it over stock to give the sensation of removing the kickdown
The DSG will still gear up at the 7.1k soft limit in manual mode after hitting the limiter. Not particularly a worry, but I'd rather have a hard limit and decide when I want to change the gears when in manual mode.

Both of these functions don't really get in the way of control too much on the road, but when on track you do notice it more.

I do have one more question that I need to ask REVO and that is ....Do they up the torque handling capacity of the DSG unit like GIAC do?     ie increase the oil pressure on the clutch plates to give a firmer, faster response as this is one function I wouldn't like to lose.
Golf R gone.

Whats the difference with Stage 2 to Stage 1 ?

I read on other forums Stage 2 and fuel cut issues ?

I doubt this REVO Software will be ok for my Pirelli because Carl said the 58 Reg Pirelli has a newer DSG than all other GTi's

I may have to wait :popcornsoda: :sad1:

Fuel cut is nothing to do with DSG remaps as far as I am aware, this sounds like something on Stage 2 engine remaps for the K03 cars.
