Stage 1 to Stage 2 transition
HallED30:
Do you know how much it is? @Sug
@MC71 I would go R-Tech but I live in Glasgow so it's quite the trek
Sug:
£600 as far as I am aware

Id save the money and stay stage 1. Id save the extra cash spent on stage 2+ towards a faster car. A stage 1 Ed30 is going to be just shy of 300bhp so no slouch and the extra 40bhp or so you get from stage 2+ wont be a massive difference in real world performance for the road.
Sug:
I only had stage one on my eddy which I loved. When buying the R I made that stage one within a couple of weeks. Then a fellow forum member took me out in his apr stage 2+ eddy and I was amazed at the difference. So It was one going to go one way for me and that was stage 2+. Evoms £300, loba hpfp £500 and bcs downpipe and sports cat £300 (second hand) so in my eyes £1100 well spent. Now I can embarrass pretty much anything off the line and keep up with big boys if not quicker. If you can find someone who has there's at stage 2+ or equivalent go for a ride in it.

An R is a different beast as it is 4wd so can put the extra power down. Where as the ED30 will spin the wheels easily in the lower gears trying to put the extra power down. My mate stopped modding his cars and purchased a faster one as standard instead. Only he went o.t.t and got a Lotus Exige 3.5 supercharged that is stupidly quick as std. 3.8sec to 60 and crazy in gear acceleration.
