DSG issue. Clutch pack? (Oil changed not mechatronic either)

(1/7) > >>

AndyBrown:
Ill try keep this as short as possible.
Been having problems with my Dsg since I got the car, had a few conversations on here and I was certain it was the mechatronic unit, garage didn't agree and in the end I took to it vw and they confirmed it was the mechatronic unit.

After a but more arguing they took it in and removed the mechatronic to be sent away to be repaired. The company said that it's perfectly fine and nothing wrong with the mechatronic unit.

Now the garage thinks it could be the clutch packs. Only symptoms I have is he car jerking once the gearbox has warmed up, only in 1st and reverse gears tho.

Has anyone had any problems with the clutch packs and can offer some advice

Redemption:
First thing I'd get done is a DSG Adaptation if you have VCDS/VAGcom or can find someone local to you with it. If that doesn't cure it then you're looking at getting the gearbox removed and stripped down to find the issue and that's not cheap.

AndyBrown:
That's been done aswell mate.
Hoping someone's had some experience with the clutch packs

Redemption:
Mine's going in for a rebuild in the next couple of weeks but until they get it stripped down they won't know if the clutch packs also need replacing.

Rampage:
I had the same symptoms, where it was getting progressively more jerky when letting the foot off the brake in 1st gear. Had it looked at by VW who sent the info back to Germany. Was diagnosed with needing new clutch packs. Had them replaced under warranty and never had a problem since.
