DSG issue. Clutch pack? (Oil changed not mechatronic either)

Liam0205:
To be fair, having read other threads and in particularly one by @Mandy it does look like a clutch pack problem given that the mechantronics has been given the ok.

Given that VW sent the mechatronics away and gave it the ok didn't they offer you further diagnostics ?

jocco:
Andy, sad to see you'r still struggling with your DSG. I have the same symptoms on mine, and I'm considering selling the car so I don't go through all the trouble that you did.
I'm interested to see what you end up doing with yours. Hope you get it sorted.

I didn't get the csr from vw so the garage I got it from sent it away, vw just replace and quoted me £2200!
I've emailed to say I'm not happy that ive had to pay for it to be removed and sent away to be repaired and I want it diagnosing again and to take the mechanic out with me so he can see for himself. Worth a try getting it done again free, shy kids get no sweets m that.
When I took it in I said I think it's the mechatronic, maybe I shouldn't have said anything

AndyBrown:
I thought about it Jocco but I love the car to much!

AndyBrown:
This was the reply I got from Lookers VW...

Hi Mr Brown

I have read through your recent email sent regarding your Gearbox issues. The conclusion for this diagnosis was made through Technical Product information that is related to your vehicle. Due to uncomfortable driving characteristics in warm conditions the mounting of the clutch control valves shows wear symptoms. This can lead to an increased friction in the mountings and the clutch cannot always be controlled precisely.

This particular fault can only be repaired by replacement of the Mechatronics and adaptions after replacement.

If you would like a Technician to road test with you and follow the diagnostic process again we can make a booking at the earliest convenience to yourself. I will then make available our master Technician to answer any questions you may have.
