Does the TC / ESP use the brakes much, as I though it did or is it mostly ignition cut?

Think it's igntion cut. Not 100% sure though

The ASR cut times are raised to match the ramp rate of the cars power. Most will miss the ASR mapping and leave it stock which is factory calibrated to the cars stock power output. We tune it so you can have as much power as you can get down on the road on but the ecu cutting the power back to the edge of wheel spin point. The asr light flashes fast the ecu used timing torque reduction via missed timing intervals or opposing timing phase depending on load / rpm to stop the tyes lighting up. So instead of the stock sudden cut of power when the tyres slip which jolts the driver forward the car will now still accelerate with the cut recovery back to power up to 50 time faster than the factory settings.
Plus most of the time (depending on customers demands and stage of tune) I aim for flat linear boost tuning by progressing the n75 duty with rpm instead of spooling with 95% n75 to give a spike and recovery control boost profile.
