Agree with illyan, robins car has been turned down because running it on the old settings, he damaged a turbo, so it was lowered to give a better operating tolerance.

An intercooler cannot give Higher horsepower joe, a larger intercooler just allows better heat dispersion as the engine and turbo will run hotter because it receiving more fuel/air mix, so all it does is help the engine temperature to run at its correct running temperature with any other adverse effect ie cracking turbo's etc as an example(in robins case). It has no affect on improving horsepower. If you add a full exhaust joe, then yes your car will produce towards your figure that youve been given.Golfgirls car produced 260bhp as stock on a set of rollers , then went on a dyno dynamics and got stock bhp 227bhp.
Its just the accuracy of the rollers that give these differences and nether robins or chris's cars are not sick!.

Like ive said before, we need everyone on a SAME set of rollers to proove this once and for all.

Why won't mr T_T come back and help us out!

I've noticed that he has recently been on other VAG forums!

Maybe he doesn't like us anymore!

, i dont think he agree's with some peoples opinions on the GTi forums. If his word isnt final, then all hell breaks loose, and is not good for forum morale. He has upset a number of people with his sometime stern wordings on some subjects.

Tis a shame as he has in no doubt alot of knowledge.

T_T certainly has a wealth of knowledge and contributes a lot to any VAG forum. However - His word is not gospel and he isn't right about everything he posts (and neither am I or any of us - we can only post info which is to the best of our knowledge). The issue I sometimes (not always!) have with T_T is that he sometimes slags off a company - Superchips and JKM being two examples. I tend to slag off Regal and we are all entitled to our opinions, but as Hurdy has often said: Listen to everybody and make up your own mind.

No-one is trying to claim that JKM's dyno is the one and only set of rollers in the UK which is truthful or operated properly, but I know that I can trust JKM and I view a dyno as primarily a diagnostic tool.

Thanks for the compliment, Chris  - It was just a quick pic I grabbed and I didn't stay around in that position because I may have got in Keith's way.

Of course, it's having AP Racing brakes which makes that pic

so what people are saying is all tuners talk sh1t and JKM rollers are gospal so all tuners should take their cars there to prove they are getting what they say

Not at all.  It just that its easy for a tuner to get a higher peak bhp reading at the expense of say, a decent consistant curve.

True, speaking to Keith at JKM, I asked about the Ed30 engine and the S3 engine and as far as he is concerned, they share the same engine parts according to the ETKA part numbers... so he thinks that the Ed30 engine indeed is the same as the S3 one with a few minor differences.  This is in agreement with what Superchips say and articles in VW Driver. TT however thinks they don't and that the Ed30 engine is the same as the GTI engine, but for once I really wasn't convinced by his reasoning.  Or maybe thats because I have an Ed30
