Central Locking

(1/2) > >>

ALIAHMET:
Hi

I am new to the forum and have recently bought a MK5 Golf 1.9 TDI

I noticed that the passenger door would not lock when using the central locking, after some research on this site and replaced the passenger lock module.

Now all the central locking works when locking on the key fob. However, only the drivers door unlocks when unlocking from the key fob. If I open the drivers door and press the unlock button on the drivers door, all will open.

I am guessing that, because all the doors now lock and unlock - that I do not have a locking module issue.

Is there some sort of reset that I need to do?

Any help would be much appreciated

You might have it set to 1 press on the button only unlocks the drivers door. 2+ presses opens the rest, have a go and see.

Thank you for the quick response

Will give that a go and let you know the outcome - Cheers

Do you have highline clocks? You can change the settings to open all doors or open single door with lock.

If you don't have highline clocks you need either the carista app or VCDS

ALIAHMET:
No unfortunately I don't have the high line clocks, I presume these are the large LCD display in-between the clocks.

With these apps, do I need additional cables to plug my laptop to the car? if so how much do these apps and cables cost?

I will try pressing the button twice on the key fob when I get home from work tonight
