Well I have had non stop trouble with the standard headunit. Sometimes it would work, other times it would work but no speakers, most of the times I'd get a red flash every now and again and that would be it.

18/19 seconds in...

So after selling my BMW yesterday I had a nice amount of spare cash so I headed out to get a new headunit. Ended up buying a Sony Double Din. Quite happy with the look of it and it seems to work very well up to now.
Had a bit of a mess around with it last night and go it set up how I want it now.
This picture was taken before I messed around with the setting

Looks like a great example  :happy2:

Have you replaced Cam Follower & Diverter Valve?

MarkyN:
No not yet. Am not having any problems at the moment so I was thinking not to bother but from what I read they worth doing as well when you get a car service done. I should be getting it in for a full service late summer time so I'll get it done then, unless they need doing before hand

Well today I got the wheels off the golf, rubbed down the brake calipers and gave them a fresh couple of coats of red hammerite. the calipers hadn't been painted since factory I don't think as they were looking fairly pink before I went over them

I then checked over the engine and realised I got some bits in here that would look rather nice in carbon. So I got the hydrodipping tank up and running.
So this happened

All lacquered and put back into the car

What did you use to rub down the calipers? Got any before/after pics? Cheers.
