Your doing the same stages as myself when I purchased my 2005 gti over a year ago. The car starting to show its age. Just needs some tlc and general maintenance. Well done dude!

The brake vacuum pump was leeking so after some info gathering, from here and the internet. I had a go at fixing it  :smiley: :fighting2:

The o-ring is for the revised/newer pump not the older version I have on the car! And in my inpaitience I attempted to fit it, (thinking it was the correct part) and ended up snapping the aluminium casing as I tryed to force it in the hole  :surprised: :scared:

So after ordering replacement, I recieved the revised version and it fitted like a glove, job done  :grin:

I then replaced the panel filter with a Ramiar performance filter. Only £20 so I'll see how it feels, seems ok so far... :driver:
