Reading through your thread again (for about the 10th time haha), i see you tried to initially replace gasket for the vacuum pump. How did you figure out that it was the wrong gasket? How did the brace break off, just when tightening it all up?

Mine is leaking as well, exactly the same as your original picture. Got a new gasket from TPS using my VIN - surely this gasket should be correct, no?

I did the same as you Ross, but it turned out to be the gasket for the revised pump! And assuming it was the right part, when I tried to fit it, I forced it and snapped the casing :doh:

I ended up buying the revised design, as you can replace the gasket if needed.

This is the one I bought off eBay and it's been leak free ever since :happy2:

It needs some love, but is all there, FSH and mechanically very good. Drives like its on rails too :driver:

I will be splitting my time between here and Audi-sport.net. I'll start a build thread and put a link in here, if you would like to follow the progress.
