hi chaps  :smiley:

ive just been reading about a product from bsh which blocks off the standard dv on the 2.0 tsi engine ....

and was wondering if anyone knows of a company or if it is possible to do this for the 1.4 tsi to get rid of the crappy standard one  :laugh:

yeah i think it does after a remap but i think mine has gone already as i can hear a boost leaking sound when the scharger is at full whack around 2500-3000 rpm

do forge list anything. they are the only main stream  commercial company that seam to have sussed the DV replacement? if not it might be worth a call

This is mostly a reminder for me to post tomorrow :P But the relocation of the DV on the 2.0TFSI is due to a more fundamental issue than failures. Forge do the 2.0TFSI "drop-in" replacement valve for the 2.0TFSI, BSH's product is designed to address something else (though they both prevent failure of the OEM DV).
AFAIK the placement of the DV on the TSI variant engines (that is the turbosupercharged unit and not the type 888 "World" engine - the 2.0TSI as found on current-issue GTIs/Sciroccos) has resolved the placement issue that the BSH addresses; but I can't speak on the reliability of the OEM unit.
